The NCFC Counseling Program has been providing counseling services for over 34 years. The NCFC Counseling Program provides outpatient counseling services to residents of Contra Costa County. We use psychotherapeutic interventions designed to meet identified mental health needs and we recognize the individual’s socio-cultural values, goals, lifestyles and the complex interactions within the family.
The NCFC Counseling Program provides diagnosis and treatment for issues such as: marital conflicts, separation and divorce, family violence, child and teen adjustment problems, bereavement issues, unemployment and financial distress, parent/child relationship struggles, aging issues, personal, interpersonal and social adjustments, problems of intra-psychic origin, sexual abuse, substance abuse as a secondary diagnosis and syndromes associated with impairment of functioning. The goals of the program are to enable people to cope with social, psychological, and interpersonal problems which interfere with individual, family or social functioning.
The NCFC Counseling Program is a community-based, non-sectarian program open to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who reside in Contra Costa County and who do not have a serious and persistent type of mental illness.
An income-based sliding scale is utilized for self-pay individuals.
